elizabeth + garrett's wedding day
At the beginning of this year, I got an e-mail from a sweet girl named Elizabeth. She was looking for a wedding photographer, and I was looking for weddings to photograph :) This day was so fun to capture because I got to meet so many awesome people. That's what I love about the job. Even though we had never met prior to the wedding day, I was able to share one of the most special days of Garrett and Elizabeth's lives with them! Now I consider that one huge blessing.
Not only was the venue picture perfect fairytale-esque, the weather was pretty great too. Despite the 90 degree heat (that sure is hot for a Seattle girl like me!) God provided the perfect amount of cloud cover that we needed. Most of us may have gotten a little sunburnt (me with a camera strap tan line on the back of my neck--whoops), but we still were thanking God for that momentary break from harsh sunlight :). Oh - and I think I drank about 6-8 water bottles in an 8 hour span.
Garrett and Elizabeth - the way that they looked at each other - whew - they are in LOVE. So refreshing to see. So FUN to capture. Nothing but hugs, smiles, hand holding, and even some smooches, these two. With so much support from the family members, it was so moving to see the Lord work on this wedding day.
Now on to the photos - but one more thing. The sparkler send off. One of my favorite things to be a part of and capture. But when the bride's dress catches some seriously large cinders (hot and red cinders) leave it to the mother of the bride to save the day (stomping on the dress works wonders). :) What an exit!
