ELLEN + NOLAN | OREGON COAST ENGAGEMENT
This shoot was the kind that fills my soul. The kind that reminds me why I do what I do. The kind that leaves my arms and legs sore the next day because we climbed up steep cliffs and walked a bunch. The kind that allows me to spend time with my clients in the long car ride to the location rather than meeting up, shooting, and saying goodbye all too quickly. The kind that I could blatantly experience God staring me in the face and saying "you're doin' good, kid." I am so undeserving of such incredible clients.
Ellen, Nolan, my husband Jesse (the best fourth wheel ever!) and I drove over to the Oregon coast on a rainy Sunday afternoon expecting the weather to be somewhat torrential... but we had hope. And gosh, it was the most perfect shooting conditions I could've asked for. Ellen and Nolan have this secret spot on the coast that is absolutely INSANE. The whole time I was in awe and kept thinking "I cannot believe I am standing here right now!!" It was incredible. And to make things better, the love these two have for each other is unbelievably sweet. Snuggling on a cliffside, cracking up together...they're in love and they don't care who knows it.
These shots mean a lot to me because it's the start of something new for me. New editing techniques, new ways of shooting. My work is evolving and I am so, so, SO excited about it. My summer season is about to begin and I couldn't be more ready.
As we all used to say in 2010...LET'S GOOOOO!
